Develop valuable sculpture-making skills across clay, silicon and resin.

About this class:

Develop valuable sculpture-making skills across clay, silicon and resin.All participants will learn the entire process of hand-building clay sculptures based on initial drawings, creating unique silicon molds from your own clay sculptures, and finally using the new silicon molds for resin casting. These procedures of mold making and casting are common sculptural-making skills that can then be transferred into various materials and applied to future projects!

Age: 16+

Dates: Wednesdays, 30 October –18 December, 6-8pm (8 weeks)

Cost: $180

What Students Will Learn

  • Explore and learn about the medium of clay;
  • Create form and shape from clay;
  • Create unique silicon molds from clay sculptures
  • Use silicon molds for resin casting

Cancellation Policy:

Bankstown Arts Centre cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class.

Fees are kept to a minimum and cover tuition, the use of equipment during classes and where included, the cost of tutor fees and/ or basic materials. Fees and charges may increase per financial year. For more information on fees, refer to Canterbury-Bankstown Fees and Charges document
