Join artist Jale Sezai for Friendship and Fandom: Beaded Bracelet Workshop.

Jale employs craft-based processes to create powerful works informed by pop and fandom cultures, love and belonging. Her work is rooted in ideas of devotion and worship, through her own experience as a Fangirl.

In a relaxed, fun and conversational environment, participants will be guided in the creation of their own beaded bracelets, against the backdrop of Jale’s exhibition PDA (Public Display of Affection). Expect to walk away with an assortment of beaded friendship bracelets, possible new friends and a heightened appreciation for the cultural importance of being a fan.

Participants with all levels of experience and ability are welcomed and encouraged.

All materials provided. If you would like, please feel free to bring along your own additional beads or items of sentimentality you would like to include in your own work.
