Friday Pottery Studio Access (hand building and Wheel Work) Term 4

An opportunity for current and past pottery students to continue building their skills in a supportive open studio environment

Are you a current or past pottery or ceramics student at the Manningham Arts Studio?

If so this Friday Pottery Open Studio is for you!

Come for 5 minutes or the full three hours to fine tune your craft or just play with clay.

Tracey one of our wonderful studio tutors will be on hand for light support and guidance.

Great for continuing your pottery practice or to get more work completed between classes.

Dates: Friday 18 October to 6 December

Times: 9 .45am to 12.45pm

Materials and firing fees:

  • This course is only available to people who are currently or have previously been enrolled in a pottery class at the Manningham Art Studios.
  • Only students who have previously been taught wheel work can have full access to the pottery wheels
  • Course fees do not include clay and firing
  • Students who are not completing another pottery course in term 4 can purchase clay from the studio. ($25 per 10kgs of clay. Non-standard clays will attract additional fees.)
  • Students enrolled in a term 4 class can have access to their class clay.
  • All students can pay an additional costs for works they wish to have fired. Current firing fee is $15 per kilogram.
  • Tickets purchased are only valid for term 4

  • Apron

Bookings are essential and numbers are strictly limited.

The minimum number of students for each class is 6, please be advised that cancellations may take place 24 hours before. We will endeavor to offer you a place in another class or alternatively offer you refund.

Class Cancellation or Substitute Teachers

Due to illness, unforeseen circumstances or where a suitable substitute is not available and a class has to be cancelled, you will be contacted via email and by SMS 30 minutes prior to the class starting. In these situations, either a class refund will be processed, or an additional class will be added to the term dates.

Refund Policy

You will not receive a refund once a course has started for classes you miss for non-attendance. You may receive a refund on the following:

- A cancelled class due to tutor illness or unavailability - You have tested positive to Covid-19- Long term illness- Personal reasons, such as bereavement

Parking

Parking is available at Manningham Council MC2 building. There are two ways you can access the building – through the Doncaster library entrance on ground level or via the elevators from the MC2 underground car park.

The library entrance may be closed after hours. In which case, please enter via the underground Carpark at MC2 and take elevator to Level 2, exit right, turn left along walkway to the art studios.

Please note: Carpark entry gate automatically closes at 8pm but has a sensor for exiting as you leave at the conclusion of your class.

Staying COVID Safe

All staff, students and visitors to Manningham Art Studios are required to comply with current COVID Safe practices and legislative requirements. If you are unwell, please stay home. We suggest you get tested for COVID-19. We request that students and visitors who have recently tested positive notify us at artstudios@manningham.vic.gov.au or by phone 03 9840 9382.
