Aviation 'Job-Ready' Mentoring Program for Mature Women - Granville

Small group mentoring program supporting Western Sydney Women to obtain jobs and careers in Airports and Aviation

Welcoming applications to join this unique program....

designed to empower and equip Western Sydney Women looking to return to work with the knowledge, resources, connections, support and confidence to successfully carve out an individual employment action plan to help apply for and obtain Airport and Aviation jobs and careers.

Hosted by supportive women from industry in a relaxed setting.

✈️ Who is The Program for?

Mature aged women ...

  • interested in jobs and careers in Airports and Aviation
  • looking to re-enter the workforce
  • looking to return to work after a career break
  • looking for help with overseas qualification recognition

✈️ What is The Program commitment?

The program runs from 31 October 2024 - 20 February 2025 and includes;

  • 6 x fortnightly face-to-face workshop sessions
  • 6 x online mentoring sessions - delivered by zoom

✈️ What topics do the workshop sessions cover?

Workshop 1 - Learn about jobs and careers in Airports and Aviation

⏰Thursday 31 October 9:45am - 2pm

Workshop 2 - Learn about Aviation job entry pathways, including overseas qualification recognition support

⏰Thurs 14 November 9:45am - 2pm

Workshop 3 - Create a personalised Aviation Career Action Plan

⏰Thurs 28 November; 9:45am - 2pm

Workshop 4 -Interview Skills Training

⏰Thurs 12 December; 9:45am - 2pm

Workshop 5 - Dress for Success

⏰Thurs 30 January 2025; 9:45am - 2pm

Workshop 6 - Aviation Careers Forum + industry conversations with women from industry and access to education providers.

⏰Thurs 13 February; 9:45am - 2pm

Fortnightly online sessions in between workshops offering mentoring support

All Workshops 1 - 6 include;

  • resume and cover letter writing support
  • personalised coaching and support
  • job boards displaying job vacancies open for application now - with a focus on current job opportunities at Western Sydney International Airport and the surrounding Aerotropolis

✈️ Limited spaces available

✈️ Morning tea and light lunch will be provided
