About

This is a 1-day introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture and key elements of practice that promote therapeutic benefits of gardening in a disability setting. The day will feature key topics such as Therapeutic Horticulture, Kevin Heinze GROW’s model of practice, an overview of different programs and structure, key outcomes for disabled participants in therapeutic horticulture programs and hands-on practice facilitating a therapeutic horticulture activity.

This workshop is for anyone developing or expanding on their skills and knowledge relating to Therapeutic Horticulture practice. Prior knowledge and/or experience in therapeutic horticulture is not required.

Additional facilitator: Kevin Heinze GROW’s Speech Therapist Rachel Fletcher.

This 1-day workshop is running twice in June - on June 8th and June 15th. Attendees only need to attend 1 full day to complete the workshop.
