Our regular Social Art Days are your opportunity to come along and work on your latest art project in the company of like-minded artists.
These sessions are a great motivational opportunity to resolve some UFOs (unfinished objects) that may be on your to-do list. You can also ask for feedback and advice from other artists in the group.
You can work on anything you like – it could be practising your sketching, playing with watercolours, gelli printing, printmaking, collage, and making books.
For inspiration we have an extensive natural history collection including found objects like seed pods and birds’ nests as well as pinned insect collections.
You can also access our extensive library resources – a bookcase full of artistic inspiration and instructions for all sorts of art techniques.
If you have printmaking experience, you can access our printmaking equipment including the etching presses and our vacuum UV unit. No tuition is provided and to use the major equipment you must have had a studio induction.
The cost of the sessions are:
$20* – BYO Project, bring your own tools and supplies
$30* – BYO Printmaking Project – bring your own papers, plates and inks. We supply consumables like gloves, paper towel, detergents etc.
