Live Now: What’s On Central Queensland Highlands

What’s On Central Queensland Highlands is an initiative of the Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC), the region’s key economic and tourism development agency. As regional Australia is heavily reliant on domestic tourism the goal with this project was to increase awareness of events for both visitors and locals as that is a key driver for travel.

Benefits for the region include:

• Event organisers should see an rise in event attendance by having one site with larger collection of events than before.
• Less FOMO for locals and visitors as it’s easy to browse for events and use alerts for event notifications.
• Visitors might add a night or two onto their stay if they find something happening when planning a visit.
• Work effort for Central Queensland Highlands and CHDC is lowered from the previous calendar by automating much of the event content and providing a user friendly way for local event organisers to add their own events.

Central Queensland Highlands itself covers a massive area of more than 60,000 square kilometers and offers plenty of room to breath and lots of places to explore. The development of this new Event Hub coincided with the launch of their regional rebrand, allowing us to take advantage of the new look and feel.
